Sun Loungers in Dubai: How to Choose for Pool, Garden & Balcony

A sun lounger in Dubai works harder than almost anywhere on earth: 45°C summers, chlorine splash, and eight months of daily use. Here is how to choose one that lasts — from Adams Furniture, which manufactures teak sun loungers in Dubai at its Al Quoz workshop.

Teak vs aluminium vs rattan for loungers

Solid teak is the five-star hotel standard: it stays cooler to the touch than metal, shrugs off chlorine and silvers beautifully — the reason our Dune Teak Sun Lounger and Ravello Sun Lounger are villa favourites. Aluminium is lighter to move but hot in summer; synthetic rattan suits covered pool areas. For the full material comparison, see our pool furniture materials guide.

The details that matter

  • Wheels and adjustable backs — if you chase shade through the day, wheels at one end are worth it; check the Malaga Double Sun Lounger for shared use.

  • Cushions — quick-dry foam with performance fabric only; standard cushions hold pool water. We make custom lounger cushions to fit any brand.

  • Spacing — allow 80 cm width per lounger plus 40 cm between them; a typical villa pool deck fits 4–6.

What sun loungers cost in Dubai

Solid teak loungers run roughly AED 3,500–4,500 each with cushion; doubles and daybed-style pieces more. Cheaper imported loungers exist, but at the pool they are usually replaced within two seasons — the maths favours teak.
