Off-the-shelf furniture is designed for average spaces. Commercial projects rarely have them. Restaurants have columns in awkward places, hotels have design intents that no catalogue matches, and villas have terraces that standard dimensions simply don't fit. Custom project furniture exists to close that gap — furniture manufactured to your drawings, your dimensions, your fabrics, and your deadline.
This guide explains how custom furniture manufacturing works for commercial projects in Dubai: what can be made, how the process runs, and what interior designers, fit-out contractors and owners should expect from a manufacturing partner.
What Can Be Custom Made
Banquette and built-in seating, made to site dimensions for restaurants and lounges
Dining tables in any size, shape and finish — from compact two-tops to fourteen-seat communal tables
Bar counters, bar chairs and stools in custom heights to fit your exact counter
Outdoor furniture in Grade A teak: sofas, loungers, daybeds and dining sets built for permanent UAE outdoor exposure
Upholstered seating with commercial-grade foam and performance fabrics, including Sunbrella for outdoor use
Bespoke joinery: media walls, wardrobes, built-in storage and fit-out carpentry
How the Process Works
Custom manufacturing succeeds or fails on process. Ours runs in five stages: consultation and site measurement; drawings and size planning provided before production, so what's approved is what gets made; material and fabric selection; production through our Al Quoz workshop and our associated manufacturing facility in Indonesia, with quality control to European industry standards; and delivery with installation across Dubai and the UAE.
The drawings stage is the one to insist on with any supplier. If a manufacturer won't put dimensions on paper before production, the risk of an expensive mismatch sits entirely with you.
Who We Work With
Our custom project work spans restaurant and hotel operators, interior designers, fit-out contractors and private villa owners. F&B and hospitality-specific guidance is covered in our restaurant furniture guide and hotel furniture and FF&E guide. For designers, we work to your drawings or develop them with you, and can prototype key pieces before committing a full production run.
Materials Built for Commercial Use in the UAE
Material selection determines lifecycle cost. For outdoor and terrace projects, Grade A teak and marine-grade aluminium are the only materials we recommend for permanent exposure — the full reasoning is in our outdoor furniture guide. For indoor commercial use, solid hardwood frames, commercial-density foam and rated contract fabrics separate furniture that lasts a decade from furniture that lasts a lease term.
After the Handover
Custom furniture is an asset worth maintaining. Our Dubai workshop provides after-sales repair for teak, synthetic rattan and umbrellas we supply, plus reupholstery and teak refurbishment — so a five-year-old banquette gets new fabric and foam rather than a skip, and weathered terrace furniture gets restored rather than replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can furniture be made to custom sizes for commercial projects in Dubai?
Yes. Adams Furniture manufactures tables, seating, banquettes, bar counters and outdoor furniture to custom dimensions, with drawings and size planning provided before production.
Do you work with interior designers and fit-out contractors?
Yes — we work to designers' drawings or develop specifications together, prototype key pieces on request, and phase production and delivery around fit-out schedules.
What's the difference between custom and contract furniture?
Contract furniture is commercial-grade furniture built for heavy use; custom furniture is made to your specific dimensions and design. Adams Furniture supplies both — custom-dimensioned furniture built to commercial standards.
Where is Adams Furniture based?
Our workshop and showroom are at Al Quoz 3 (opposite Unimix), Dubai, with an associated manufacturing facility in Indonesia. We deliver and install across Dubai and the UAE.
