Adams Furniture project showcase: bespoke joinery in Dubai villas

Over the years, Adams Furniture has completed bespoke joinery and custom furniture projects in hundreds of villas and apartments across Dubai and the UAE. Each project is different — different spaces, different clients, different design briefs — but the consistent thread is a commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and detail that makes the finished result feel genuinely custom rather than off the shelf.

In this article we share some of the project types we are most often asked about and describe the joinery challenges and solutions involved.

Concealed jib door with fluted oak panels

One of our signature projects in recent years is the combination of a concealed jib door set within a fluted oak panel feature wall. The door sits completely flush with the surrounding panelling — the groove pattern continues seamlessly across the door face — and opens using a magnetic push mechanism with no visible handle.

Projects of this type are typically found in master bedroom suites (where the concealed door leads to a walk-in wardrobe), in living rooms (where it leads to a utility room or home office), and in entrance halls (where it leads to a cloakroom). The effect is striking — a wall of beautiful joinery with no clue that there is a door in it until you know where to push.

Floor-to-ceiling media wall with integrated storage

Our media wall projects typically span the full width and height of a living room wall — from floor to ceiling. The TV is recessed into the centre section, flanked by open niches for display items, and closed cabinets below for AV equipment and storage. Cable management is fully integrated so that no wires are visible.

The most popular finishes for media walls in Dubai are currently fluted oak panels, painted lacquer in off-white or warm grey, and a combination of painted lacquer frames with fluted wood inserts. Marble backing panels inside the niches are also popular for a more luxurious finish.

Walk-in wardrobe with island unit and integrated lighting

A Dubai villa walk-in wardrobe project we completed recently involved converting a large bedroom into a full dressing room for a family of four. The joinery lined all three available walls with a U-shape layout — full-length hanging on one side, double hanging on the other, and a central back wall with open shelving, drawers, and a mirror. A freestanding island unit in the centre provided drawer storage for accessories and a surface for folding.

LED strip lighting was integrated into every zone — under each shelf, inside the hanging sections, and with a backlit mirror panel on the end wall. The result was a dressing room that functioned as a piece of the home architecture rather than a wardrobe crammed into a room.

Kitchen pantry and utility room joinery

A common project type for us is the kitchen pantry fit-out — converting an underused corridor or small room adjacent to the kitchen into a fully fitted pantry with floor-to-ceiling shelving, appliance bays, power points, and adjustable shelf configurations.

On the same projects, we often also fit out the utility room with a bespoke laundry layout: integrated washing machine and dryer cabinets, a built-in sink with under-sink storage, a worktop for folding, open shelving for cleaning supplies, and a hanging rail for air-drying.

How to start a bespoke joinery project in Dubai

Every project starts with a conversation and a site visit. We visit your home, measure the space, discuss your requirements and design preferences, and come back with a detailed design proposal and quote. There is no obligation at the design stage.

If you would like to discuss a joinery project for your Dubai villa or apartment, contact us via the website or call us directly. We are happy to visit any location across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the wider UAE.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take on small joinery projects as well as large ones?

Yes. We work on projects of all sizes — from a single fitted wardrobe or a media wall to a complete villa fit-out. There is no minimum project size.

Can you work with an interior designer on a Dubai joinery project?

Absolutely. We regularly work with interior designers and architects on joinery projects across Dubai. We are comfortable working from CAD drawings, design briefs, and mood boards, and we provide shop drawings for client and designer approval before manufacturing begins.

Do you provide a warranty on your joinery work in Dubai?

Yes. All joinery projects come with a 12-month workmanship warranty covering any defects in materials or craftsmanship. We also provide a 6-month installation guarantee covering any issues with fittings, alignment, or hardware.
