Hand-carved solid wood four poster bed with an upholstered linen headboard, made in Dubai
The Williamsburg is a traditional four poster bed in the American Federal and colonial style, handmade from solid wood in our Al Quoz workshop in Dubai. Its four tall posts, 226 cm at the headboard and 206 cm at the footboard, are reeded along the top, hand-carved with acanthus leaves at the centre and crowned with carved urn finials, then finished in a rich walnut tone. Made for a 200 x 200 cm super king mattress, it brings real presence to a master bedroom, villa or boutique hotel suite.
Between the front posts sits a camelback arched headboard, upholstered in soft ivory linen and framed in solid wood, so you get the grandeur of a classic carved bed with the comfort of a padded headboard to lean against. The deep side rails and footboard rail are cut from solid timber, and the bed stands on turned vase and ring feet.
Every carving on the Williamsburg is shaped by hand by our craftsmen, so no two beds are exactly alike. The joints are made with traditional mortise and tenon joinery for a bed that stays solid and quiet for decades.
A Timeless Colonial Four Poster Bed
Inspired by the carved Federal and Sheraton beds of 18th and 19th century colonial homes, the Williamsburg suits classic, transitional and heritage interiors. Leave the posts open for a light, architectural look, or add a canopy frame and drapes for a full canopy bed. Pair it with white linen bedding, antique brass lamps and a vintage rug for a warm, collected bedroom.
