Parsons Oak Dining Table
The Parsons Oak Dining Table is a three-metre solid oak dining table in the classic Parsons form: four square legs the same thickness as the top, set flush at the corners with no overhang, and a recessed apron so the top appears to rest lightly on the legs while the structure underneath stays rock solid. First drawn at the Parsons School of Design in New York in the 1930s, it is the most enduring modern table shape there is – and ours is handmade from solid oak in the Adams Furniture workshop in Al Quoz, Dubai.

100% Solid Oak. Top, apron and legs are all solid oak – no veneers, no MDF core. Oak is dense, hard-wearing and stable, which is why it has been the timber of choice for dining tables for centuries.
Hardwax Oil Finish, Colour Customisable. The table is finished in hardwax oil, which soaks into the grain rather than sitting on top of it. The result is a natural, matte, touchable surface that is easy to spot-repair and gets better with age. The finish shown is a soft whitewashed oak; the colour can be customised to your interior – natural, smoked, dark or any tone in between.
Built for Twelve. At 300 cm long and 115 cm wide, the Parsons seats ten in comfort and twelve when the family is in town. The legs sit at the very corners, so every seat along the length is clear of obstruction.
Made to Order in Dubai. Each Parsons table is made to order by Adams Furniture in our own Dubai workshop, with a lead time of around eight weeks. Because we make it ourselves, dimensions and finish can be adjusted to suit your room.

Caring for a Hardwax Oiled Oak Table
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry. Avoid silicone polishes. Every year or two, a light coat of maintenance oil brings the surface back to new – no sanding, no refinishing. Minor marks can be treated locally, which is the great advantage of an oiled finish over lacquer.
