Mid-century round leather bar stool in solid teak and brass, made in Dubai
The Brera is a mid-century modern round bar stool with Art Deco details, handmade in our Al Quoz workshop in Dubai. It has a leather-upholstered round seat, a ribbed solid teak column and a solid brass footrest, and is made for kitchen islands, home bars and restaurant counters. At 40 cm in diameter and 65 cm high, it is the right counter height for most kitchen islands in Dubai homes.
The round seat is upholstered in deep green leather and finished with fine top-stitching around the edge. It sits on a thick turned column in solid teak, carved with horizontal ribs that catch the light. A solid brass footring on two angled struts, fixed with a brass collar, gives a comfortable place to rest your feet. The heavy round teak base has an inlaid solid brass ring and keeps the stool steady on marble, tile and wood floors.
Teak is one of the hardest-wearing woods in furniture making. It resists moisture and spills and deepens in colour with age, which makes it ideal for kitchens, bars and restaurants in the UAE. Paired with leather and brass, it gives the Brera the look of a classic hotel or members' club bar stool that will last for years.
Mid-Century Modern with an Art Deco Touch
The round upholstered seat on a single pedestal, warm teak and deep green leather come straight from 1960s and 70s Italian and Danish design. The ribbed beehive turning, the brass footring and the brass ring inlaid in the base add Art Deco glamour. The Brera suits mid-century modern, Art Deco, modern classic and quiet luxury kitchens, as well as home bars, cigar lounges, restaurants and hotel bars.
